Wat Khok or the "Monastery of the Mound" was located off the city island in the eastern area
in Phai Ling sub-district of Ayutthaya.
The monastery was located just south of Wat Samana Kottharam, on the west bank of Khlong
Kudi Dao. The site was located in the immediate vicinity of Wat Prakok.
There are no visible traces remaining of this monastery at ground level. Houses were built in situ.
The site is indicated on a 1993 Fine Arts Department map. Some remains of the temple were
excavated by the Fine Arts Department (FAD) in Geo Coord: +14° 21' 34.78" N, +100° 35'
28.75" E.
Its historical background and period of construction are unknown.
