Wat Klang Tai or the Mid South Monastery is a defunct monastery located off the
city island in the northern area of Ayutthaya in Suan Phrik Sub-district.

The monastery was situated adjacent to
Wat Klang Raman and south of Wat Pom
Raman.

The existence of an adjacent temple site was earlier mentioned by the Jao Awat of
Wat Klang Raman in 2011 and reconfirmed by locals in April 2016. The site figures
only on a Monthon Krung Kao map drafted in 1916 and based on a survey the year
earlier. Houses are built on the former premises of the temple.

Its historical background and period of construction are unknown, but history of Wat
Klang Tai and Wat Klang Nuea are likely intertwined.

A Buddhist nun stated that a Buddha image was unearthed on the site of Wat Klang
Tai and must now be in the possession of the Fine Arts Department

Wat Klang Tai was approximately located in geographical coordinates: 14° 23' 14.80"
N, 100° 33' 3.97" E.
