Wat Lak Bab was located in the Historical Park on the city island in the southern area
in Pratu Chai sub-district. The monastery was situated on the west side of Wat Maha
That at par with Nok on Maha That's southern side.
The exact function of this temple, which stood on the bank of Bung Phra Ram - a
swampy area - is not known. Except some brick patchwork, there are no traces
anymore visible of the monastery above ground level.
Historical data about the monastery and its construction are unknown.
The site is indicated on Phraya Boran Rachathanin's (PBR) map drafted in 1926.
