Wat Phra Non or the "Monastery of the Reclining Buddha" was located off the city
island in the southern area of Ayutthaya in Samphao Lom sub-district.
In situ is a brick mound. There were no traces of any brickwork. On the mound sits at
present a small mushroom farm.
Its historical background and period of construction are unknown.
The monastery is only mentioned on a Fine Arts Department map drafted in 1993.
Following this map Wat Phra Non is situated south of Wat Vihan Khian and west of Wat
Thong.
The latter site seems not to be correctly indicated on this map, so Wat Phra Non could
not be correctly identified.
