WAT PRASAT 4 (วัดปราศาท)
Wat Prasat or the "Monastery of the Palace" is located off the city island in the
northern area of Ayutthaya in Khlong Sra Bua sub-district.

The monastery was situated in between
Wat Phraya Maen and Wat Jong Krom in an
area called before
Thung Khwan. Wat Prasat stood northwest and adjacent to Wat Jong
Krom.

The site itself is not difficult to find, as it is located near something what should resemble
an old water market, but the last remains of the ruin are, as the area is overgrown.

In situ is some kind of brickwork of a monastic structure enveloped in a Bodhi three
(
Ficus Religiosa).

Its historical background and period of construction are unknown.

The site features on 1974, 1993 and 2005 Foreign Arts Department (FAD) maps.
Remains of the temple can be found in Geo Coord: +14° 22' 30.58" N, +100° 33'
14.77" E (based on 2005 map).

There are different temples in and around Ayutthaya bearing the same name.
