| Wat Khok or the Monastery of the Mound was located off the city island in the eastern area of Ayutthaya in Hantra Sub-district. The temple was situated south of Khlong Hantra on the east bank of a canal leading to the latter. Wat Pa Kho stood on its far north-west, while Wat Dusitaram was situated on its east. There are no traces anymore of the former monastery above ground level. Historical data about the monastery and its construction are unknown. The ste is indicated on a 1974 Fine Arts Department (FAD) map. Some remains of the temple were excavated by the FAD in Geo Coord: +14° 22' 19.53" N, +100° 35' 10.77" E. |
