| WAT LUANG PHO KHO HAK (วัดหลวงพ่อคอหัก) |
| Wat Luang Pho Kho Hak or the Monastery of the Buddha with the Broken Neck is located off the city island in the eastern area of Ayutthaya in Phai Ling Sub-district, Moo 4, Chumchon Luang Pho Suriyamuni. There are no visible traces remaining of this old monastery at ground level. A vihara has been built in situ locally known as Luang Pho Suriyamuni. The former monastery was indicated as Wat Chang (Monastery of the Elephant) on Phraya Boran Rachathanin's map (1926). Its historical background and period of construction are unknown. The site is located in Geo Coord: 14° 21' 23.34" N, 100° 35' 1.58" E. |
