Wat Sakei was located on the city island in the southwestern area in Tambon Pratu Chai. The former monastery was situated in the Somdet Phra Sri Nakarin Park, north of the restored ruin of Wat Wang Chai and west of Wat Hoy Khong.
It was formerly located on the bank of an ancient canal system, that in recent times had been altered by the making of the Sri Nakarin Park.
The monastery is indicated on Phraya Boran Rachathanin's map drafted in 1926, but no traces of it could be found; and as such classified as disappeared.
Historical data about the monastery and its construction are not known.
