Wat Chedi Yot Hak, or the Monastery of the Broken Spire, is located east of Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon in the southeastern area of Ayutthaya, in the Phai Ling Sub-district.
Wat Khok Ta Thuai stood north, Wat Pho Phueak east and two old temple sites (Wat Rang) east and south.
The main architectural feature that remains is a chedi that has greatly eroded. The shape suggests a Sri Lankan-styled bell-shaped pagoda from the middle Ayutthaya period (1489-1629 CE). In front of the chedi, to the east, is a mound containing the foundations of a monastic hall. The site has been damaged by seasonal flooding, which is still common in this area.
The chedi is not restored but has been stabilised by the Fine Arts Department - 3rd Region.
Wat Chedi Yot Hak is in geographical coordinates: 14° 20' 42.04" N, 100° 35' 52.03" E.
Based on an interview with Khun Chin near Wat Wihan Satru on 16 March 2016 CE, the original name of this site is Wat Sarika.
