In situ, some brickwork enveloped in a tree is found.
Its historical background and period of construction are unknown.
The monastery is on a Fine Arts Department map drafted in 1993 CE.
The site is in geographical coordinates: 14° 19' 53.52" N, 100° 34' 39.41" E.
Footnotes:
(1) In the Ayutthaya era, this track was still the Lopburi River surrounding Ayutthaya. The river joined the Chao Phraya River near Wat Bang Sai, now called the Noi River. The stretch south of Ayutthaya from Wat Phanan Choeng onwards was called the Bangkok River.
