Wat Rerai, or the Monastery of the Cricket, is located off the city island in the eastern area of Ayutthaya in the Phai Ling sub-district south of Chedi Wat Sam Pluem along the east side of road No 3477 on the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon school premises.
Wat Kuti Hak stood north, Wat Khok Phra Non east and Wat Dusit west.
Locals said that the last brickwork traces of the monastery disappeared when the school was constructed.
Its historical background and period of construction are unknown.
Wat Rerai is shown on different maps of the Fine Arts Department (FAD) drafted over the years.
Based on the 2007 CE FAD map, the monastery was in geographical coordinates: 14° 21' 3.77" N, 100° 35' 34.75" E.
