WAT DAENG 2 (วัดแดง)
Wat Daeng or the Red Monastery was located off the city island in the southern area of
Ayutthaya in Samphao Lom Sub-district. (1)

The monastery stood north of
Wat Khok Khamin and south of Wat Daeng (1).

There are no traces anymore visible of the monastery above ground level.

Historical data about the monastery and its construction are unknown.

The site is only indicated on a 2007 Fine Arts Department map as วัดแดง (๑). Some
remains of the temple were excavated by the Fine Arts Department (FAD) in
geographical coordinates: 14° 20' 7.98" N, 100° 33' 14.46" E.
