WAT KHOK TA THUAI (วัดโคกตาถ้วย) |
Wat Khok Ta Thuai is situated off the city island in the eastern area of Ayutthaya in Phai Ling Sub-district. The site consists of a brick mound, being a remnant of the former temple encroached by vegetation. The defunct monastery was situated north of Wat Chedi Yot Hak, south of Wat Wihan Satru, east of Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon and on the same horizontal axis as the latter. Its historical background and period of construction are unknown. The site was indicated by Khun Chin during a visit in the area in March 2016. The remnants of Wat Khok Ta Thuai are located in geographical coordinates: 14° 20' 44.26" N, 100° 35' 49.59" E. |
