| WAT THA PHRA (วัดท่าพระ) |
| Wat Tha Phra or the Monastery of the Landing of the Monk was located off the city island in the eastern area of Ayutthaya in Phai Ling Sub-district. Wat Tha Phra stood opposite Wat Nang Kham near the mouth of Khlong Kudi Dao and on the north bank of Khlong Kramang. There are no visible traces remaining of this monastery at ground level. Its historical background and period of construction are unknown. The site is indicated on a 1993 and a 2007 Fine Arts Department map. On the 2007 map the site is named Wat Tha Sai (วัดท่าทราย). Some remains of the temple were excavated by the Fine Arts Department (FAD) in geographical coordinates: 14° 21' 25.57" N, 100° 35' 29.41" E. |
